submitted this trophy of 1 Tiger Muskellunge from a trip that occurred on 12/31/01
I was fishing for Pike and Tigers on 4''-6'' of ice off the weed edge in 8'-15' of water. (5 tip-ups in Mass.) 3 baited with live 6''-8'' pond shiners, 2 with 10''-12'' dead pond shiners. The trap in 15' went up at 9:15, after a 2 hr. wait. The fish took a dead shiner and ran off 320ft. of line, I set the hook and after a 30 min. fight, landed a 27# 0 oz. Tiger Musky -The fish is the new World Record, Ice Fishing, Tip-up, and the new Massachusetts All Tackle State Record.
